The Contemporary Art Archipelago exhibition consisted of more than 20 new site-specific art works and events realised in the Turku archipelago in Finland by international and local artists. The exhibition was staged across the isles and visitors encountered it from cruise ships and small boats, along roads, on a remote islet, in the sea, on the airwaves, on the ferries or even on their plates in local restaurants.
I created the overall identity and graphics for CAA. The identity concept is about art interweaving with the archipelago. We used sustainable design methods throughout the production, minimising wastage, and incorporating materials such as recycled paper and wood that resonate with the natural environment.

Studio Emmi captured the identity in wonderful simplicity that communicates both the location and the nature of the art project. It is a joy to collaborate with Emmi in solving the complex needs of communication involved in a site-specific project such as ours.
