Grab the confetti and hold onto your party hats, I’ve been running my design practice for 20 years this year! It has been a whirlwind of creativity, lessons, and plenty of pencil sharpening. Marking achievements is something I often remind others to do, and this one feels especially big for me.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who’s been part of this journey. Your support, trust, and encouragement have made it all possible, and I’m so grateful to celebrate this milestone with you.

Have we worked, met, pondered together? Drop me a note, I’d love to hear your favourite memory. There’s so much to look forward to this year, and I can’t wait to share more soon.

To mark this special 20-year milestone, I’m launching something close to my heart: a sticker set designed to spread positivity, fun, and a little design magic. Whether you need to 'Erase Doubts', 'Craft with Heart', or bring some 'Pencil Vibes' to your day, there’s a sticker here for you.

The designs are live as GIPHY GIFs (search Studio Emmi in Instagram stories!) and have already been viewed over 3 million times – thank you for sharing the joy! They’re perfect for sending to your friends, team, or anyone who needs a smile.

I’d love to see how you use them on Instagram, share your favourites and tag me, @studioemmi!

20 lessons from 20 years

To celebrate Studio Emmi turning 20 this year, I’m sharing 20 lessons I’ve learned over the past two decades. They are the product of many amazing client collaborations, a fair few knotty challenges and plenty of unexpected twists and turns.

I’ve learned a lot since I started out as a designer back in the noughties. There’s much to be said for learning by experience, but gosh – I’d have loved to have a guiding hand on my shoulder to steer me through some of the unknown. My hope is that the lessons and stories I share in this series will give others a bit of that support and reassurance.

The first article, How design can bring people together, is live now. It’s about one of my favourite parts of design: its power to connect people, especially around big, dreamy ideas.

This will be the first of many – follow my LinkedIn to read them all.
